Local company Home Instead Senior Care, which provides home care services for older people in Elmbridge and East Spelthorne, is delighted to partner with Everyman Cinemas to provide dementia friendly ‘Morning Matinees’ in Esher and Walton.
The next ‘Morning Matinee’ will be held on 24th April in Esher and 26th April in Walton, both screenings will begin at 10.30am and show new movie, The Founder, which showcases food franchise, McDonald’s rise to fame. Tickets are £2.50 each and free to Home Instead clients.
As with all these special screenings there will be a relaxed atmosphere in the cinema, with lights dimmed rather than switched off and people are free to move around the cinema. Everything has been created to be particularly suitable for local people living with dementia, their family and their carers. There will also be Home Instead Senior Care caregivers in attendance, who are trained dementia specialists.
Damien Nolan, Owner of Home Instead Senior Care said, “At Home Instead many of our clients are living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, so we understand the challenges faced by family carers. The dementia friendly cinema screenings are a wonderful opportunity for people living with dementia, their friends and family to have time together in a safe environment, watching wonderful movies.
“Please tell everyone you know and of course come along, we would love to see you.”
